I’m far overdue for my annual no-post post. As you can see, new layout! This is way too slick to pretend I made it – I’ve been out of the (web development) game for a few years now and admittedly feel a little lost. As much as I’d like to pick it up again, it’s a pretty time-consuming hobby. Considering that I struggle to sometimes even find time to feed myself, that’s probably not in the cards for now. Maybe. I don’t want to commit.
Some random life updates from my last entry to now:
- I did not fulfill my 2019 Goodreads reading challenge… or 2020… let’s just say 2021 is probably also a stretch.
- I moved! Sold my townhouse and moved into a house-house. It’s not big (the square footage is actually a tiny bit smaller than my townhouse), but I have a yard! And more windows! Two big pluses when Covid rolled around.
- 2019 travel was awesome – Italy, Germany, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, France, and I think a couple other places. And 2020 was shaping up to be pretty damn cool too (Poland, Singapore?!) before… you know.
- Covid happened, and then nothing happened. Just stayed home like a responsible person and that’s pretty much it.
Life has been pretty slow at ‘getting back to normal’ for a whole pile of reasons I don’t really want to get into at the moment, but I guess my antsy-ness has worn off, at least a little. This has been the longest stretch that I’ve been home in years – it’s definitely different. I also don’t really want to talk about the big events from Covid – now because, well, yikes. And it’s my party and I’ll talk about what I want to.
